I haven’t posted in ages. Been real sick, Here’s some albums/songs I’ve been repping/listening to in agony. I’ll start off with this, new Mobb Deep, Prodigy is out of jail. The beat is lovely. Everything is lovely.
Dl’d this album a while back, It’s really good. It’s kinda mainstream for underground hip hop, if that makes sense. Umm,it doesn’t, so how about this; It sounds like music made by people who like Micheal Jackson and Gangstarr. I didn’t like it at first but it’s a real grower, check it 1982, by static something and terminology.
EDIT: Okay I originally planned to post a link to DL this, The one I used has been deleted. It is called 1982 by Statik Selektah and Termanology it is well worth a DL, i gotta go out now and this recommendation is better than nothing.
Here is another banger Typoon rap - Mayhem Lauren ft Action Bronson
Video of 2011 right there,
Get me one of those motherfucking gangster jumpers with a Teddy Bear on it. J-love = style.
Did you peep the J-love tune with Kool G on it I posted here? It’s good, it reminds me of the kind of stuff we listened to in uni, great beat with some okay generic gangster rap over the top. Check it if you haven’t cause you get to look at ‘J-love nigga’
I loved that yonkers Video James posted, The video is tremendous and the song is pretty boss too. That whole odd future scene is pretty cool.
I’ve blessed you with enough jewels for one day, what you listening to at the moment bitches?!
Jody I've been listening to England romping Wales in their Homeland in Rugby and Football. Gunter was the best thing about the whole Welsh team and only because he's from the mighty Forest! Any way hope you are feeling better...
ReplyDeleteAlso I like Termanology I have, If Heaven Was A Mile Away (A Tribute To J Dilla), Politics as Usual & Time Machine. Not heard 1982 yet everyone knows 83 was a better year and Ak can vouch for that!
Must check out that 1982 album.. I have liked everything I've heard from both Termanology and Statik Selectah, but it's just been some random 12"s that I have, and the odd album cuts produced by Statik Selectah (always stand-out tracks from him).
