Georgia Ann Muldrew's new album is entirely produced by Madlib. I generally don't like being preached at in music. Nor do I like meandering RnB warbling that seemingly goes nowhere. Yet, she does both of these things quite a lot and I like her music.
What do you guys think of her generally? (apart from the amazing Kwanzaa song that of course everyone loves).
Off the back of the other track of this chick's that I posted I was listening to some of her other stuff. It turns out they're Dutch. Which explains the kinda weird flow at times.. anyway the main reason I posted this video is because the record store she's standing out front of is the one I've been digging in a couple times when I've been to Amsterdam!
Action's new album is reference to this film staring the Shaq attack himself, Penny Hardaway and Nick Nolte (Gary Busey's long lost brother). God I saw this film in the early ninties a bunch of times when I was really into B-ball. Can't remember whether it was any good!
Action also has a tune called Hookers At The Point on the CD which is strange as I watched a HBO documentary called Hookers At The Point last weekk all about Hookers in S. Bronx. It's pretty dark..
Funny that you mention Harry Fraud and French Montana from that comment! I've been listening to HNIC 3 a lot this week, and this track is both of them (with Prodigy obviously).
It's a cool album.. I think I gave it to you already James, but for the others it's available free on datpiff.com
(incidentally I think that French Montana and Harry Fraud tune you posted below is a bit turd, though! Loving Bronson over the best of the 80s...)
Also like this comment about the beat for the RiFF RaFF & ACTiON BRONSON tune. Haha it's been used before back in '09. Anybody know what album/EP the song is off?
But what really makes this track worth listening to is the unseen element – up-and-coming young producer Harry Fraud, who has done stuff with Bronson before (and has worked loads with French Montana, producing his recent hit single ‘Shot Caller’), and who smacks it here with a beat which combines sped up soulful sax licks and an epic synth-bassline straight out of an 80′s Miami crime movie with stuttering snares and hats straight out of the trap, to dreamy and delicious effect.
Another video that'll make you want a j... Fashawn asked fans to submit videos of themselves rolling a spliff whilst lipsyncing along to his track and has cut it all together into a music video. Pretty cool.
