Troy Dunnit - Not gangster

Well, fuck that, Necro has done too many tracks for Mr Hyde types, Quite like this though, I think Ak will like this beat, Don't know why.

again, beat better than rapping but rapping better than mr hyde/gortex...

Harry J All-Stars - Liquidators

This is a summertime classic, these are my two days of british summer!

And you will know that my name is...

Love that Last Hurrah tune, the beat is tremendous. Cool, video too. though I feel bad for the rapper that is on the TV screen next to a man in the rocking chair, no bitches for you! That one with the dodgy asymetrical haircut has a hideous sounding voice. the beat is of course by Necro, reminding me that he is unbelievable on production at times. So I looked up the Thugstore Cowboy's prod credits to see if I could find any more gems. Just started but this beat is great, (the rapping is not)

I'll post any more if I find them, I have learnt Necro does a lot of beats for shite rappers.
I really liked the beat to that knives tune but I'm not really feeling the singing. Video's pretty cool too.

This is a Classic Album

I really like this Album to think he was going to pack up after putting this out. Glad he didn't as I enjoyed seeing him with Ed O. Still don't understand the glove.

I've posted the original below which is Willie Hutch. I have a couple of his albums, it's on my phone JR so I'll bring down.

Also like SlaughtaHouse & Disposable Arts.

Yo Bitches, I'm Back!!!

Holla

Yo didn't know if you had heard of Dj Mehdi but he died the other day he was a pioneer of what became the French Hip Hop scene including production for Mc Solaar & the 311 crew. I've posted two tunes he was involved in below (Not hip hop). One of them is hilarious with the French rude boys with their cars, tune not so great. I'd never seen the video until the other day.

JR good idea about Classic Albums, I'll get thinking, the list will be long. Binny love that LL tune, I've e-mailed Rap and soul to see if they are getting any copies as it's pretty limited. The cover is cool too. The only place I can seem to find it at is this german shop for £20 (Shipping etc) although I have ordered some T-shirts from them before and they were great.

I've posted some Submotion Orchestra below too. I've been enjoying them lately but didn't manage to catch them at Outlook festival. I could only describe them as chilled dubstep. Pharoahe Monch was great there & Foreign Beggars. Got some good stories.

Peace out.

Oh yeah watched a great film the other day called Boy a Kiwi film def. worth a DL.

Jedi Mind Tricks

Hey at home I've been just throwing on old albums without even looking at what they are and this old Jedi Minds album really stands the test of time. My CD is scratched to fuck, So this is just a heads up to give it a spin if you haven't in while. If Vinnie Paz can't ruin an album it must be good; I choose this song because it is the most scrathed on my CD (and it's tremendous)

We could do with a stunts and cunts classic albums/hall of fame deal really, well I've labelled this classic so thats that.
Also that mormon show is only availbale as an audio cd (or going to see it on broadway) but that song is a stand out there are some funny moments. you can DL it here

LL Cool J is old as..

Check this!
http://www.hiphopsite.com/2011/09/13/ll-cool-j-year-of-the-hip-hop/ you can play the song at the bottom on the article.

Back in 1994 K-Def was working on some beats out of the B Room in Marley Marl’s House Of Hits when LL Cool J walked in on his session and said “let’s make some tracks together”. Uncle L had always wanted to rhyme on a track using the famous ESG breakbeat ‘UFO’, so he had Def lay it down with some scratches and then went to town with the mic. Both thought they had a sure fire hit on their hands but unfortunately it was never used.

The DAT tape of the studio session was feared lost for several years before it eventually turned up stuck behind a radiator! Now, 17 years later, K-Def and Slice-of-Spice are proud to present ‘Year Of The Hip Hop’ in all its vinyl glory.

That mormon song is really funny! Have you seen the actual musical? How is it?

Book Of Mormon

This is from Tray Parker and Matt Stone and someone else. It's a musical about a naive young  mormon who goes on a missionary to Africa, this is the best tune from it.

Aphex Twin - Avril 14th

I watched Four Lions with my dad tonight on channel 4, that movie is tremendous. I noticed this at the end, really beautiful Piano solo tune by Aphex twin, sampled by Kanye
